The Classic Experience

Central Komodo —
The Ultimate Day Dive

Komodo National Park is widely regarded as one of the top dive destinations on the planet — and for good reason. Powerful currents funnel nutrient-rich water through the straits, creating the conditions for extraordinary marine biodiversity at every depth.

Our Classic Komodo Day Trip focuses on Central Komodo's most iconic sites — Batu Bolong, Manta Point, Castle Rock and Crystal Rock. These are not just good dive sites. They are among the most biodiverse reefs ever recorded, with a density of fish life that will leave even experienced divers speechless.

We depart daily from Labuan Bajo aboard our speed boat Mushu, reaching the first site in under 45 minutes. With a strict maximum of 8 guests per trip and 4 divers per guide, every dive is personal, safe, and tailored to your level.

Where We Dive

Central Komodo's Legendary Dive Sites

Four world-class sites — each one a reason to come to Komodo. Sites are selected daily based on conditions, currents and season.

Batu Bolong dive site Komodo
Signature Site · All Levels

Batu Bolong

A submerged pinnacle covered in hard and soft corals. One of the most fish-dense dive sites on Earth — clouds of anthias, snappers, surgeonfish and reef sharks. Every single dive is different.

Manta Point Komodo
Big Animals · Intermediate

Manta Point

Komodo's famous manta cleaning station. Reef mantas glide in effortlessly, year-round. This is the dive that people fly across the world for — and it rarely disappoints.

Castle Rock Komodo
Drift Dive · Intermediate+

Castle Rock

A powerful current site that rewards experienced divers with walls of barracuda, giant trevally hunting in packs, and whitetip sharks resting on the rocks. Adrenaline guaranteed.

Crystal Rock Komodo
Reef · All Levels

Crystal Rock

The gentler sister to Castle Rock — a beautiful pinnacle draped in sea fans and corals, with excellent visibility and a rich mix of reef fish, turtles and occasional mantas.

* Sites are selected on the day based on current conditions, tidal cycles and guest experience level. Your safety and dive quality always come first.

Common Questions

Komodo Day Trip — FAQ

Everything you need to know before diving with Manta Dive Komodo.

Yes — fully included, no exceptions. The park entrance fees are included in the price displayed. There are no hidden charges at the dock. What you see is what you pay.
Yes. Nitrox fills are included for certified Nitrox divers at no extra cost. This extends your bottom time and reduces nitrogen loading — ideal for multi-dive days. If you're not yet Nitrox certified, ask us about getting certified in Komodo.
A minimum of PADI Open Water (or equivalent) is required. For Central Komodo trips we recommend at least 20 logged dives. Some sites like Castle Rock involve current — your guide will brief you fully and will always adapt to the group's experience level. Safety always wins over schedule.
Strict maximum of 8 guests per boat, with a ratio of maximum 6 divers per guide. This is a deliberate policy — not a capacity issue. No crowded tours, no compromises on safety or experience.
The Indonesian government enforces a daily quota of 1,000 visitors inside Komodo National Park. Combined with our 8-guest maximum policy, availability is genuinely limited — especially during peak season (June–September). Booking several weeks in advance is strongly recommended.
Manta rays are seen year-round at Manta Point (Karang Makassar), Komodo's famous cleaning station. Their presence cannot be 100% guaranteed — they are wild animals — but sightings are frequent throughout the year. June to September is peak manta season with the highest encounter rates.
All standard scuba equipment is included: BCD, regulator, wetsuit (3mm), mask, fins, and tank. We carry First Aid and emergency O2 on board. Personal items like dive computers and underwater cameras are not included but can be rented — ask us in advance.
We require 48 hours notice for cancellations to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure forfeit the deposit. We never cancel for weather without offering a full alternative date or refund. Contact us on WhatsApp for any last-minute situations — we are always flexible.
