Common Questions

Komodo Day Trip — FAQ

Everything you need to know before diving with Manta Dive Komodo.

Yes — fully included, no exceptions. The park entrance fees are included in the price displayed. There are no hidden charges at the dock. What you see is what you pay.
A maximum of four divers per guide, on every route, with no exception. In Komodo's currents that ratio is what lets a guide keep the group together and still show you something. It is the number that matters underwater — more than the number of people on the boat.
Central Komodo day trips are open to certified Open Water divers. North Komodo, South Komodo, Padar and Pink Beach require Advanced Open Water or equivalent, because those routes can involve significant current. Castle Rock and Crystal Rock are North Komodo sites and are Advanced-level dives. Your guide will brief you fully and will always adapt to the group — safety wins over schedule.
Divers Alert Network recommends a surface interval of at least 12 hours after a single no-decompression dive, and at least 18 hours after repetitive or multi-day diving, before flying. We plan around that guidance and we will not schedule a dive that conflicts with your flight. Tell us your departure time when you book and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
No — nitrox is not included in the trip price. It is available for certified Nitrox divers on request and according to operational availability. If you're not yet Nitrox certified, ask us about it.
Manta rays are seen year-round at Manta Point (Karang Makassar), Komodo's famous cleaning station. Their presence cannot be guaranteed — they are wild animals — but sightings are frequent throughout the year. June to September is peak manta season with the highest encounter rates.
Included: full scuba equipment with a 3mm wetsuit, meals, water and Komodo National Park fees. Not included: 5mm wetsuit, nitrox, dive computer and underwater camera — all available to rent, ask us in advance. First aid and emergency oxygen are carried on board.
The 30% deposit is non-refundable. For anything specific to your dates, message us on WhatsApp before booking and we will tell you where you stand.
